Inks industry is split between various processes which are different because of
the method of image transfer and by the type of image carrier employed. In fact,
the image can be transferred to the substrate either directly or indirectly.
In direct printing (such as gravure, flexographic inks..) the image is transferred
directly from the image carrier to the substrate.
In indirect printing (such as lithography), the image is first transferred to a
cylinder ant then to substrate.
Different inks processes: Flexographic inks (mainly used for print packaging), Lithographic
printing (used to print text and illustrations), Letterpress, Gravure printing, Screen
printing, Digital inks, Quick printing
