ADD APT UV-Link SA 11 Styrene/acrylic copolymer ADD APT Acrylic Resins Coatings >> UV / Radiation Curing ADD APT UV-Link SA 11 is a low viscosity UV-curable Styrene/Acrylic emulsion, designed for Crack Bridging (CB) systems It is a copolymer of Styrene and Acrylic Monomers, containing an UV-curable additive. Crack Bridging Exterior Wall paints Crack Bridging Roof Coatings Textured Masonry Coatings The emulsion is stable to the addition of pigments and coalescing solvents and may be made more thixotropic by the incorporation of a suitable gelling agent. The polymer has elastomeric properties and excellent resistance to water and alkalis. Due to its crosslinking ability under UV/daylight, it will avoid the so undesirable dirt pick-up characteristics associated with low Tg polymers i.e. it shows low dirt pick-up . In (CB) systems it shows very good performance with regards to dynamic and static cracks which could occur in new or renovated concrete buildings or other structure. It is a cost effective alternative to pure Acrylic based CB systems and designed for areas where the AFNOR norms P8440-1,-2,-3,-4 are not required. It is a harder version of ADD APT UV-Link SA 01 with enough flexibility. This grade exhibits a very good surface hardness after curing and an extremely low dirt pick-up. It is recommended for top coats and/or warmer areas with little exposure to subfreezing temperatures (< 0 °C). Low viscosity, UV-curable, styrene/acrylic copolymer emulsion. Contains an UV-curable additive. Used in crack bridging systems such as exterior wall paints and roof coatings and in textured masonry coatings. Offers stability to addition of pigments and coalescing solvents, elastomeric properties, very good resistance to water and alkalis and crosslinking ability under UV/daylight. Provides very good surface hardness after curing and very low dirt pick-up. Recommended for top coats and warmer areas with little exposure to subfreezing temperatures (< 0 °C).
