Airflex 26 Vinyl acetate-ethylene emulsion Air Products North America Vinyl >> Vinyl Acetate Polymer Emulsions Airflex® 26 emulsion is a poly(vinyl alcohol) stabilized Vinyl Acetate-Ethylene (VAE) emulsion. Airflex 26 has good resistance to alkali degradation, excellent chemical stability over a wide pH range, good resistance to high ionic concentrations, as well as a broad formulating latitude. These factors result in good compatibility in cementitious or masonry systems. Because of this, Airflex 26 emulsion can be used as a primer and bonding agent for tile mortar, self-leveling underlayment and cementitious patching materials. Airflex 26 can also be used in textured and strippable coatings. The use of poly (vinyl alcohol) protective colloid promotes excellent adhesion of Airflex 26 formulations to a variety of substrates, such as poly(vinylchloride), poly(vinylidene chloride), polystyrene, paper, wood, hardboard (Masonite), urethane foam, and even some metal surfaces.
