Airflex EF500 Vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer modified with vinyl chloride Air Products North America Vinyl >> Vinyl Acetate Polymer Emulsions Architectural / Decorative >> Interior wall coatings Architectural / Decorative >> Exterior wall coatings Airflex EF500 emulsion polymer is a fine particlesize, aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetateethylene (VAE) copolymer, developed to provide a versatile base for interior and exterior paints and for other flexible coatings. The emulsion polymer possesses an intrinsic coalescing ability which minimizes the need for external coalescing agents and yields excellent touch-up properties particularly in contractor flat paints. Combined with high critical PVC and excellent freeze-thaw stability, these properties make Airflex EF500 latex an excellent vehicle for low VOC interior paint. The inherent flexibility and alkali resistance of Airflex EF500 emulsion polymer also enable it to outperform conventional vinyl acrylics in exterior paints. It has demonstrated good overall durability since its introduction in 1965. An aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetateethylene (VAE) copolymer. Used for interior and exterior paints. Offers very good freeze-thaw stability. Provides inherent flexibility and alkali resistance.
