Suggested for use at 2.0 – 3.0 phr in systems requiring moderately high processing temperatures, particularly those using high levels of polyester plasticizers. ABC-7 is also recommended for use in low temperature foamed plastisols employing N,N’-dinitrosoterephthalamide (Dupont’s “Nitrosan”) as the blowing agent. Fine, uniform cell structure and low densities can be obtained at 250°F (80 seconds residence time) and at 350°F (40 seconds residence time). The best quality foam is produced when the fusion temperature of the plastisol is matched with the decomposition temperature of the blowing agent.
