The product gives excellent protection to plasticised PVC against attack from a wide spectrum of fungi and bacteria. The pelletised dust-free physical form is particularly suitable for use in PVC calendering operations. The Intercide ABF products (containing OBPA) are classified as toxic by inhalation and harmful by ingestion. They are not classified as dangerous by the dermal route. In practice the inhalation test is carried out on a fine mist of the product, a situation which shouldn’t arise in the normal handling of these products. OBPA based formulations have recently been re-approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the USA. This followed the standard registration procedure requiring an examination of available toxicity and ecotoxicity data. Intercide ABF-5-SVC is packaged in fibre drums of 50kg nett weight. Microbiocide. Used in plasticised PVC. Provides very good protection against attack from a wide spectrum of fungi and bacteria. Suggested for use in coil coatings.Consists of OBPA compounded into PVC/PVA copolymer.
