The foaming of PVC plastisol by chemical means is a technique widely used in the production of flooring, wallcoverings and a variety of supported and unsupported sheetings. Foaming is most usually achieved by the decomposition of azodicarbonamide. Without catalyst, azodicarbonamide decomposes significantly above 200oC. By careful choice of stabiliser/activator the decomposition temperature can be reduced to a temperature more suited to the processing of PVC. Lankromark LZK202 Is a medium/fast kicker which has been carefully formulated to offer good foam colour. Lankromark LZK202 is widely used in the production of Wallcoverings and floorings.
