The foaming of PVC plastisol by chemical means is a technique widely used in the production of flooring, wallcoverings and a variety of supported and unsupported sheetings. Foaming is most usually achieved by the decomposition of azodicarbonamide. Without catalyst, azodicarbonamide decomposes significantly above 200oC. Lankromark LZK221 is a fast kicker offering early activation and rapid decomposition of blowing agent. Primary applications are in Wallcoverings.
