Lankrostat 0-600 was for many years the standard antistatic agent used for flexible PVC, and although products such as Lankrostat for flexible PVC, and although products such as Lankrostat QAT and Lankrostat LA3 have now proved more efficient in terms of antistatic performance, it is still widely used by the industry. It does produce a slightly worse effect upon the heat stability of the PVC compound compared with LA3, but this is still well within that required by most processors. It can provide low cost antistatic performance in all types of flexible PVC. The incorporation of 5-12 phr of an antistatic agent together with careful formulation will allow surface resistivity of less than 3 x 108 ohms* to be obtained and kept below this value throughout the life of the product.
