Lankrostat LA3 imparts excellent antistatic performance to flexible PVC with minimal effect on heat stability. It also exhibits excellent viscosity depressant action at both high and low shear.It can be used at high addition levels (5-10 phr) to achieve the level of performance required for mine belting. PVC formulations containing Lankrostat LA3 can be stabilised with conventional metal soap based stabilisers. Lankrostat LA3 at addition levels of 1-3 phr has also been found to be effective in the reduction of dust pick-up when incorporated into rigid PVC. Its minimal effect on PVC heat stability and clarity together with its efficient antistatic action make LA3 the recommended product for this area. This group of antistatic agents has been designed primarily for use in reduction of the electrical resistivity of PVC and consequently in the prevention of static charge build-up.
