SI 237-119 Phenolic modified ester Arizona Chemical Polyester INKS >> Lithographic and Offset Inks >> Sheetfed Offset INKS >> Lithographic and Offset Inks >> Heatset Web SI 237-119 PHENOLIC MODIFIED ESTER is a high viscosity, highly elastic, medium solubility resin designed for producing heatset and sheetfed inks. Its unique relationship between elasticity and viscosity reduces the need for gelling agents while maintaining low tack. Its good compatibility in ink oil allows for excellent tack stability. SI 237 119 is produced using SYLVAPRINT® HSR (Heat Stable Rheology) chemistry and demonstrates stable rheology over a wider range of press operating temperatures relative to conventional rosin or hydrocarbon based resins. It possesses high molecular weight, high gel reactivity / high elasticity, good compatibility with mineral oils, soya oil, linseed oil, alkyd and tall oil fatty ester solvents, medium aliphatic tolerance, good solvent release and good film former, yields strong gel formation with a minimum amount of gelling agent.Produces low misting vehicles and inks, reduces the need for sweeteners and additives and their detrimental effect on ink performance, facilitates fast set times and good gloss. It is used in let-down vehicles for heatset, web offset applications, let-down vehicles for conventional and high solids sheetfed inks. High viscosity, highly elastic phenolic modified ester. Used for producing heatset and sheetfed inks. Possesses unique relationship between elasticity and viscosity reduces the need for gelling agents while maintaining low tack. Offers good compatibility in ink oil which allows for very good tack stability.
