It is designed for use in low VOC lithographic press wash systems and as an additive in high solids inks. SYLFAT 9014 Solvent is a low-volatility solvent possessing a high degree of saturation to reduce the risk of spontaneous combustion of oily rags used to clean lithographic presses. It possesses low volatility, low viscosity, low molecular weight, aliphatic ester functionality, high boiling, tall oil derived, lowers VOC's when replacing ink oils suitable for high solids press wash systems, allows for formulation of high-solids inks, allows higher resin loadings at a workable viscosity, low viscosity allows for quick clean up in press wash systems, penetrates stock for fast setting, good solvency with a wide range of resins, as an additive can slows solvent release in liquid inks.
