Its combination of light color and good aliphatic solubility at target viscosity makes it an excellent choice for oleoresinous overprint varnishes. It is an excellent choice as a base resin for lithographic overprint varnishes, provides stability and body to web offset and shetfed varnishes, produces heat set and sheet fed inks with good gloss. It possesses light color and good gel reactivity. It is used in lithographic overprint varnishes, sheet fed or web offset lithographic ink varnishes. Maleic modified resin.
