The good solubility in aliphatic ink oils makes it a good co-resin to adjust solubility parameters in a wide variety of lithographic inks and varnish applications. SYLVAPRINT® 4550 MALEIC MODIFIED RESIN is also an excellent pigment wetting resin and is recommended for use in economical flushing varnishes for heatset and sheetfed applications. It provides phenolic resin ester varnishes with aliphatic tolerance, good gel reactivity,provides film hardness, excellent choice as base resin in heatset and sheet fed flushes, provides reproducible gel formation, produces high gloss varnishes and inks. It is used in flushing vehicles for offset inks, gloss varnishes, coresin in quick-set inks and varnishes. Maleic modified resin.
