It is a light colored resin which exhibits excellent utility in ink formulations. Its solubility in aliphatic ink oils makes it a good co-resin to adjust solubility parameters in a wide variety of lithographic ink and varnish applications. It is very compatible with all resins and raw materials typically used in lithography. SYLVAPRINT® 7002 Terpene Phenol Resin is an excellent pigment wetting resin and is recommended for use in varnishes for both heatset and sheetfed flushes. Terpene phenol resins are noted for their ability to disperse carbon black. It possesses excellent solubility, unique chemical functionality, light color, useful co-solvating resin, excellent pigment wetter/carbon black disperser, suitable for yellow ink and overprint formulations. It is used in flushing vehicles for offset inks, carbon black dispersions, overprint varnishes. Terpene modified phenolic resin.
