Lacowax PEO 12 Polyethylene wax 68441-17-8 Ashland-Drew Industrial Abrasion Resistance >> Wax Antiblocking agent >> Wax Lubricant >> Polyethylene wax Wax >> Polyethylene wax Inks INKS LACOWAX PEO 12 is oxidized polyethylene wax manufactured by high-pressure polymerisation. They contain oxygenic, functional groups, mainly hydroxyl, acid and ester groups. With the availability of polar groups, these waxes can be emulgated if the corresponding emulsifiers are added. In line with the increasing degree of oxidation, acid and saponification values as well as polarity go up, whilst melt viscosity, hardness and solidification point drop. LACOWAX PEO 11 and 12 are of white to weak yellow colour. It is used as aqueous emulsions for textile industry, plasticizer, improver of vulcanisation, tear initiation strength and hand of fabric, slip for cotton, leather processing, latex additive used for finishing, fulling, and smoothing of upper leather, paper industry, surface finishing of print paper, printed letters and decorating paper, building industry, additive for parting compounds, printing ink industry, anti-blocking agent, lubricant and anti-abrasive in aqueous printing inks, plastics processing industry, lubricant, paraffin compounding, increase of solidification and drop points. Oxidized polyethylene wax. Used as an anti-blocking agent, lubricant and anti-abrasive in aqueous printing inks. Offers increased degree of oxidation, acid and saponification values.
