Basonat HA 200 Allophanate-modified polyisocyanate BASF Polyurethane (PU) - Isocyanates Coatings >> Solvent-Free/ High-Solids Wood & Furniture Coatings Dilutable in butyl acetate, methyl isobutyl ketone, ethylglycol acetate, xylene and Solvesso 100 Solvent-free, low-viscosity polyfunctional isocyanate for lightfast and weather-resistant two-pack polyurethane finishes Basonat HA 200 is suitable for crosslinking most hydroxy acrylic resins such as the Macrynal ®1 SM grades. Basonat HA 200 is used for the formulation of particularly weather-resistant and lightfast high-solid finishes. Due to its viscosity it can also be used for crosslinking aqueous polyacrylic and polyester resins and emulsions. Supplied solvent-free it allows an almost free choice of solvents. It can be diluted with highly volatile solvents when, as in furniture coating, less vola-tile solvents would make drying too slow. Further, the drying reaction may be speeded up with a catalyst such as dibutyl tin dilaurate. When formu-lating polyurethane coatings with Basonat HA 200, careful tests must be carried out as we are unable to take into account in our own trials all factors that need to be considered. Solvent-free, low-viscosity, polyfunctional isocyanate based on an isocyanurate of hexamethylene diisocyanate. Used for lightfast and weather-resistant high-solid two-pack polyurethane finishes for applications like furniture coating. Can be used for crosslinking most hydroxy acrylic resins, aqueous polyacrylic and polyester resins and emulsions.
