Basonat HI 190 B/S Polyisocyanate BASF Polyurethane (PU) - Isocyanates Solvesso 100 and n-butyl acetate Thinnable with butyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, methoxypropyl acetate, xylene and Solvesso 100 Polyisocyanate for lightfast and weather-resistant urethane finishes Polyisocyanate based on isocyanurate-modified hexamethylene diisocyanate, 90% solution in a 1:1 blend of Solvesso ®1 100/n-butyl acetate. Basonat HI 190 B/S is used for crosslinking most hydroxyacrylic resins (eg, Lumitol ® grades). Basonat HI 190 B/S, the solvent-containing form of Basonat HI 100, is used in combination with hydroxyacrylic resins to make finishes with par-ticularly good stability to light and excellent outdoor performance. Note that it may not always show sufficient compatibility towards hydroxylic polyester resins. The results of weathering trials performed over many years show that, in most cases, this compound has better gloss-retention properties com-pared with polyisocyanates based on biuret-modified hexamethylene diisocyanate (Basonat HI 100 and HI 175 MP/X). The lower viscosity products Basonat HI 190/BS or Basonat HI 100 can be used instead of Basonat HI 100 or Basonat 175 MP/X if coatings with a higher proportion of non-volatiles are required. Polyisocyanate based on isocyanurate-modified hexamethylene diisocyanate solution in a blend of Solvesso 100 and n-butyl acetate. Used for lightfast and weather-resistant urethane finishes. Can be used for crosslinking most hydroxy acrylic resins. Offers good gloss-retention properties.
