Laromer LR 8907 Polyester acrylate BASF Acrylic Resins >> Polyester Acrylic Coatings >> UV / Radiation Curing Printing Inks & Varnishes Wood & Furniture Coatings Plastic coating Other industry >> Paper coatings Soluble in all common paint solvents Insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons Laromer LR 8907 is intended for the production of radiation-curable coatings for paper, wood, wood-based materials, plastics and printing inks. Polyester acrylate containing about 25% dipropylene glycol diacrylate Low-viscosity liquid Laromer LR 8907 forms homogeneous mixtures with most reactive acrylic resins, including other Laromer grades. Laromer LR 8907 is a medium reactivity polyester acrylate used in UV- and EB-curing printing inks and coatings for wood, paper, plastics. Coating films cured with Laromer LR 8907 are very flexible. The blocking and scratch resistance of the film can be improved be adding 10 – 20% of an epoxy acrylate such as Laromer LR 8986 or a harder polyester acrylate such as Laromer PE 56 F. The surface reactivity of Laromer LR 8907 can be increased using approx. 2% benzophenone as a co-initiator. Low-viscosity, medium reactivity polyester acrylate containing dipropylene glycol diacrylate. Used for production of radiation-curable coatings for paper, wood, wood-based materials, plastics and printing inks. Gives homogeneous mixtures with most reactive acrylic resins and very good flexibility. Can be used in combination with epoxy acrylate or a harder polyester acrylate to improve blocking and scratch resistance.
