It is used in general industrial coatings, architectural coatings, wood and furniture coatings, protective coatings and bentonite pastes. Wetting and dispersing additive to improve pigment wetting and stabilize the pigment dispersion. It is a controlled flocculating agent and is therefore preferably used in primers and undercoats. Anti-Terra®-203 creates thixotropy and therefore prevents flooding and floating, settling of the pigments and reduces sagging. The additive can be used to gel organophilic bentonites and to produce pastes with improved flow, processability and storage stability. Anti-Terra®-203 is suitable for medium to low polar solvent-based and solvent-free coating systems. Additionally, no negative influence on the water sensitivity of the paint film was observed. Used in anti-corrosion primers, in many cases the protective properties are enhanced. Anti-Terra®-203 is not available on the North American market. Use Anti-Terra®-202 instead which differs only in solvents. Solution of an alkyl ammonium salt of a polycarboxylic acid.
