It is used in exterior wall paints, gloss and semi-gloss paints, plastic coatings, wood/ parquet varnishes and furniture coatings and printing inks. Silicone defoamer for aqueous coatings, especially suitable for pigmented emulsion systems based on styrene acrylate, acrylate or acrylate/polyurethane with a PVC of 18-25%. The defoamer can also be used in amine-neutralized systems. It is very effective during the production and application of aqueous coatings, it does not influence color acceptance and gloss. For incorporation, sufficiently high shear forces are required to avoid cratering. The defoamer demonstrates excellent long term stability and is very efficient against microfoam.
