BYK®-054 is a new silicone free defoamer for solvent-based and solvent-free paint systems. It is especially suitable for solvent-free systems like PUR and epoxy floorings. In those applications BYK®-054 eliminates air bubbles and ensures pinhole-free surfaces. In lower film-thickness applications, for example industrial coatings, coil coatings and in automotive primer surfacers BYK®-054 shows excellent defoaming properties without any negative influence on recoatability and intercoat adhesion.
