Silicone defoamer for solvent-based and solvent-free coating systems to prevent foam and bubble formation during paint production, filling and application. BYK®-088 displays excellent results in all solvent-based and solvent-free systems (including aromatic-free formulations). The effective substance complies with FDA º 175.300 and is therefore especially appropriate for can coatings. Excellent performance is also demonstrated in the following systems: general industrial coatings, wood and furniture coatings and solvent-free UV-curing formulations and solvent-based printing inks.
