Dispersant for emulsion paints and aqueous systems to reduce the time required for the grinding process and to stabilize the pigment dispersion. It improves gloss and levelling. BYK®-154 does not stabilize foam and can be used as the sole dispersing additive in gloss and semi-gloss emulsion systems. In tinting systems, it achieves (in combination with a wetting additive such as Disperbyk®-181) good color acceptance. BYK®-154 is stable over a pH-range of 4-10. BYK®-154 is not available on the North American market. Use BYK®-156 instead which differs only in solid contents. Solution of an ammonium salt of an acrylate copolymer.
