It is used in emulsion paints/exterior wall paints, gloss/semi-gloss paints. BYK®-1610 is a mineraloil-free defoamer for emulsion paints and plasters. The defoamer is silicone based and recommended for emulsion systems in the PVC range from 35% to 70%. BYK®-1610 is also very useful in emulsion plasters. This additive does not contain alkylphenolethoyxlates. Emulsion of foam destroying polysiloxane, hydrophobic solid and emulsifying agent.
