It is used in emulsion paints interior, semi gloss paints and high gloss emulsion lacquers. BYK®-1650 is recommended for styrene-acrylic and pure acrylic systems with a PVC range of 20-50. Due to its chemical composition, the defoamer can be added during any stage of production. Even with low shear forces during the let down stage no defects are created in the coating. The defoamer shows excellent long term efficiency and has no negative influence on color acceptance. Emulsion of siloxylated polyethers and hydrophobic particles.
