It is used in wood & furniture coatings and printing inks. Highly effective silicone surface additive to provide good substrate wetting of critical substrates and good anti-crater performance by reduction of surface tension of the coatings. It also increases surface slip along with scratch resistance and anti-blocking. BYK®-307 improves dust and spray dust acceptance and allows higher film thickness on vertical surfaces. It reduces air draft sensitivity in wood and furniture coatings. BYK®-306 prevents formation of Bénard cells and improves flatting agent orientation. BYK®-307 has features similar to BYK®-306. Due to the fact that it is solvent-free, it is preferred in systems where solvent-free additives are requested or where a requirement for a special solvent exists.
