Solvent-based, solvent-free and aqueous coatings Aqueous, solvent-based, UV aqueous and UV printing inks. These additives provide a strong reduction of surface tension of paint systems. Therefore, they especially improve substrate wetting and avoid cratering. Additionally, surface slip and gloss are increased. BYK-308 corresponds to the application technical properties of BYK-307. The effective substance of BYK-308 is listed in title 21 CFR (food and drugs) § 176.210, Defoaming agents used in the manufacture of paper and paperboard.
