Bayhydrol 124 Polyurethane Bayer MaterialScience Polyurethane (PU) - Polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) Coatings Architectural / Decorative >> Flooring Plastic coating Metal Other industry >> Leather Coating Water/n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone Bayhydrol 124 polyurethane dispersion is an anionic dispersion of an aliphatic polycarbonate urethane resin in water/n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. Bayhydrol 124 polyurethane dispersion can be used in the formulation of ambient-cure or bake coatings for a wide range of rigid and flexible substrates such as leather, vinyl-coated fabric, textiles, flooring, plastics, and metals. Bayhydrol 124 exhibits a combination of film hardness, flexibility, good water and solvent resistance, and outstanding hydrolytic stability, and may be blended with Bayhydrol 122 polyurethane dispersion to achieve intermediate properties. As with any product, use of Bayhydrol 124 polyurethane dispersion in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability. Anionic dispersion of an aliphatic polycarbonate urethane resin in water and n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. Used in the formulation of ambient-cure or bake coatings for a wide range of rigid and flexible substrates such as leather, vinyl-coated fabric, textiles, flooring, plastics, and metals. Provides film hardness and flexibility. Offers good water and abrasion resistance. Possesses very good hydrolytic stability.
