Bayhydrol UV VP LS 2280 Urethane acrylate Bayer MaterialScience Polyurethane (PU) - Polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) Coatings >> UV / Radiation Curing Wood & Furniture Coatings water Bayhydrol UV VP LS 2280 is a cosolvent free urethane acrylate dispersion used in the formulation of aqueous UV curing coatings. It is particularly suitable for use in aqueous pigmented UV-curing coatings. Form supplied is approximately 39% dispersion in water. Bayhydrol UV VP LS 2280 is used in the formulation of aqueous UV-curing coatings, especially for use on wood/wood materials. Additions of 1.0 – 2.5% by weight photoinitiator, calculated on the solid binder, have proven to be suitable for initiating the curing reaction. Coatings based on Bayhydrol UV VP LS 2280 are also known for their good adhesion on many metallic substrates. As with any product, use of Bayhydrol UV VP LS 2280 in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability solvents which usually should be only necessary as additives. The viscosity may be adjusted by adding polyurethane thickeners. Cosolvent free urethane acrylate dispersion. Used in aqueous pigmented UV-curing coatings, especially for use on wood/wood materials. Provides good adhesion on many metallic substrates.
