Bayowet FT 929 Polyether-modified, non-ionic fluorinated surfactant Bayer-Börchers Adhesion promoter / Bonding agent Wetting agent/ Wet edge enhancer >> Surfactant Acrylic/Acrylate Resins Polyester Coatings >> Solventborne Ethanol Bayowet® FT 929 8 Polyether-modified, non-ionic fluorinated surfactant, 50% in ethanol Description Additive to improve adhesion of solvent-based paints. Properties The paint additive Bayowet® FT 929 significantly enhances adhesion of solvent-based paint systems. lt also improves wetting of difficult and contaminated substrates. Applications The paint additive Bayowet® FT 929 possesses good binder compatibility and high efficiency in many binders. lt is particularly suited to use in chemically hardening systems, e.g. polyester isocyanate or acrylic isocyanate systems. Addition rate Recommended addition rates are 0.03 to 0.1% active ingredient, relative to total volume. The exact amount must be determined before large-scale use as both too large and too small amounts may result in adverse effects. Recoatability Loss of adhesion between base and top coat or of recoatability is unlikely when used in small amounts. Negative effects e.g. caused by overbaking may be intensified, however.
