Therefore, it is used for water based intumescent coatings. Under the impact of heat, FR CROS S10 decomposes under emission of non combustible gases which by forming a blanketing gas layer prevent the access of oxygen to the substrate. The residual acidic polyphosphates act as catalysts for the intumescent reaction by dehydration of carbon rich material. Halogen-free coated ammonium polyphosphate flame retardant agent.
