IRGAGUARD B 1000 is a highly active antimicrobial effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria by inhibiting their growth. The combination of low migration rates versus high activity of IRGAGUARD B 1000 generally provides antimicrobial efficacy on the plastics surface over the entire life of the plastic article. The use of IRGAGUARD B 1110 can be recommended in applications where temperatures of 250 - 270 oC are not exceeded. Suitable polymers are polyolefins (PP, LD & HDPE) and ABS. Key areas of applications are sanitary accessories (i.e. tooth brushes, toilet seats), appliances, garbage containers, hospital supplies and others. IRGAGUARD B 1110 contains one of the most effective antimicrobials. The pellet form combines a remarkably low dust content with excellent fluidity. These pellets are highly resistant to attrition, offer a narrow particle size distribution and improved industrial hygiene.
