Irgaguard B 7620 Ciba Biocides >> Algicide & Fungicide Biocides >> Biocide, Film protection IRGAGUARD B 7620 is an antimicrobial additive containing 20 % IRGAGUARD B 7000 as the active ingredient in a PET fiber grade matrix the possibility for product differentiation. IRGAGUARD B 7000 is an inorganic Silver Glass based antimicrobial inhibiting the growth of Gram positive, Gram negative bacteria, mold and yeast, to protect finished articles. IRGAGUARD B 7000 can be processed at temperatures > 500 o C. Special Glass design allow for controlled Silver-ion release. The bio-availability of silver-ions is critical to the antimicrobial efficacy. The specific porous glass structure determines the bio-availability of the Silver-ions. IRGAGUARD B 7000 is optimized against light induced discoloration. IRGAGUARD B 7620 has been optimized for PET fiber applications. Key areas of applications are apparel, towel, filter, fabrics, brushes, mops, spongs, commercial and industrial wipes and other specific registered uses, to protect the finished article itself. IRGAGUARD B 7620 prevents growth of bacteria, mold and yeast on plastic surfaces which is often accompanied by color formation, odor development and deterioration of physical properties, thereby protecting the finished article itself. The combination of low migration rates and high melting point makes it especially suitable for high processing and use temperatures as well as for thin layers. IRGAGUARD B 7000 is optimized against light induced discoloration. The pellet form combines a low dust content with excellent fluidity. These pellets are highly resistant to attrition, offer a narrow particle size distribution and improved industrial hygiene over a powder form. An inorganic Silver Glass based antimicrobial additive. Inhibits the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, mold and yeast. Provides low migration rates and high melting point. Imparts low dust content with very good fluidity. Possesses highly resistant to attrition. Exhibits improved industrial hygiene.
