CIMBAR’s unique properties of fine grind, high specific gravity, low solubility, high brightness and chemical inertness make them ideal for many applications. Naturally occurring barium sulfate pigments, barytes, are useful in a variety of applications as they are chemically inert (e.g., acid resistant). They have a high density, a low oil absorption, and a low refractive index. Barytes are radiopaque, and they are UV light reflectors. They positively impact the performance properties of formulated products. CIMBAR grade barytes combine these properties with a high brightness; making them useful in lighter colors, whites and clears. Barytes pigments perform well in high solids, solvent and water borne applications. Like most mineral filler pigments, coarser products tend to be more inexpensive than finer products. Cimbar PC - is specificaly designed for powder coatings. It has a very narrow paticle size distribution and can allow for greater gloss control with 100% passing 325 mesh and a 9-10 micron median particle size High purity white baryte. Used in powder coatings. Offers fine grind, high specific gravity, low solubility, high brightness and chemical inertness. Performs well in high solids, solvent and water borne applications. Possesses high density, low oil absorption, and low refractive index. Gives very narrow paticle size distribution. Allows for greater gloss control.
