Nipacide CFX 3 is a water based liquid. Nipacide CFX 3 is one of a comprehensive range of biocides manufactured by Clariant UK Ltd. and is described chemically as a a blend of chlorinated and non-chlorinated isothiazolinones plus ethyl glycol bis hemiformal. A unique stabilisation system has been developed and incorporated into Nipacide CFX/3. Nipacide CFX 3 is effective against bacteria, fungi and yeast. Nipacide CFX 3 is recommended for a wide range of applications including adhesives, polymer emulsions, fountain solutions, MWF and paint where protection against fungi and bacteria is required in the wet state. The recommended use level of Nipacide CFX 3 to preserve most product types is normally in the range 0.1-0.3% based on the total weight of the finished product.
