Nipacide OPG is a glycol based liquid. Nipacide OPG is one of a comprehensive range of biocides manufactured by Clariant UK Ltd. and is described chemically as a a solution of 2-octyl-2H-isothiazolin-3-one Nipacide OPG is effective against bacteria, fungi and yeast. Applications Nipacide OPG is recommended for a wide range of applications including adhesives, polymer emulsions, decorative wood stains,sealants,pulp, fountain solutions, MWF and paint where protection against fungi and bacteria is required in the wet state. The recommended use level of Nipacide OPG for in-can applications 0.05-0.15%, as a dry-film fungicide/algaecide 0.1- 0.4% Glycol based solution of 2-octyl-2H-isothiazolin-3-one. Used as a low toxicity biocide for complete microbiological protection of water based paints and decorative wood stains in the wet state. Offers efficiency against bacteria, fungi and yeast.
