Ser-ad FN 211 Surface active compounds Condea Servo Dispersing agents >> Surfactants-like Wetting agent/ Wet edge enhancer >> Surfactant Coatings >> Waterborne Methoxy propyl acetate NUOSPERSE Wetting & Dispersing Agents SER-AD FN 211 Nonionic GENERAL INFORMATION Nonionic surface active compounds can be applied in the coating industry for a variety of purposes: • wetting agents • dispersing agents • emulsifiers • stabilizers APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES The HLB value of SER-AD FN 211 is approx. 12.5. The ethoxylated products, e.g. the alkyl phenol polyglycol ethers, form an important group within these nonionics. These compounds are prepared by the reaction of alkylphenol with ethylene oxide under well-defined conditions. The higher the amount of the ethylene oxide, the more hydrophilic will be the character of the compound obtained. In general these ethoxylated compounds are resistant to acids and alkali, as well as weak oxidation and reduction agents. They are also totally compatible with both anionic and cationic compounds. FEATURE -> CONSEQUENCE Amphiphilic structure -> optimal conditions for consistent quality -> emulsifying properties Nonionic -> compatible with anionic, nonionic and cationic surfactants SER-AD FN 211 is a: • very low foaming/wetting agent for pigments in aqueous systems, in combination with SER-AD FX 504 • wetting agent for talc Nonionic surface active compounds can be applied in the coating industry for a variety of purposes: wetting agent, dispersing agent, emulsifier, stabilizer.
