SERDAS 7580 is very easy emulsifiable in water. APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES SERDAS 7580 has excellent emulsion stability properties. The product is easy emulsifiable in dispersion paints and gives excellent properties in paints that are sensitive to surface defaults like gloss paints and low pigmented systems. SERDAS 7580 is also suitable for clear coating formulations like water-based clear coats, furniture and parquet lacquers. The product is also used in waterborne printing inks as well as a defoamer for emulsion polymers. SERDAS 7580 is based on an organic ester and oil free and silicone free. The product is specially recommended for systems that are sensitive to coagulation and flocculation. The product should be stored at room temperature. SERDAS 7580 is BGA approved Feature -> Consequence Silicone free -> minimum risk of surface defects and loss of adhesion -> works in a wide range of waterborne systems Easy emulsifiable -> Good stability against coagulation and flocculation DOSAGE It is recommended to add at least approx. half of the quantity of SERDAS 7580 to the mill base formulation and the rest during the letdown stage. The product may be used in concentrated form or as an aqueous emulsion. The exact concentration to be used depends on the individual conditions. In general a rate of 0.2 – 0.5% SERDAS 7580, calculated on the total quantity of the paint system, will give excellent results.
