Crayvallac PA3X20 Amide wax Cray Valley Rheology Modifier/ Thickener >> Organowax >> Polyamide-based organowax Coatings >> Solventborne Architectural / Decorative General Industrial /Maintenance Wood & Furniture Coatings xylene/alcohols Crayvallac PA3X20 Crayvallac PA3X20 is a pre-activated amide wax dispersed in a mixture of xylene and alcohols. This rheology modifier is suitable for post-addition to solvent-based industrial coatings where it provides excellent control of sedimentation and sag. When using a high-speed disperser, it is recommended that Crayvallac PA3X20 be added during the final stages of production, when the coating has been partially thinned to a viscosity of approximately 600 - 800 mPa.s (ICI cone and plate at 10000s-1) and the peripheral speed reduced to approximately 4 ms-1. Too high a speed results in destruction of the active components. Pre-activated amide wax dispersed in mixture of xylene and alcohols. Used in industrial wood finishes like PU (alkyd or acrylic based), nitrocellulose and acid curing. Suitable for post-addition to solvent-based industrial coatings. Provides very good control of sedimentation and sag. Easy to incorporate. Imparts shear-thinning rheology with thixotropic viscosity recovery.
