Cymel 1125 Benzoguanamine resin Cytec Crosslinking / Coupling / Curing Agents >> Amine >> Benzoguanamine Acrylic/Acrylate Resins Alkyd Resins Epoxy Resins Polyester Coatings >> Electrodeposition 2-Butyoxy ethanol CYMEL 1125 crosslinking agent, was developed primarily for electro-coating primers requiring high corrosion and detergent resistance. Improved salt-spray resistance Detergent resistance Adhesion CYMEL 1125 resin provides high deposition rates, excel-lent salt-spray and detergent resistance for a variety of electrocoating systems. Electrocoating paints containing CYMEL 1125 crosslinking agent have higher throwing power than comparable systems with CYMEL 1130 and CYMEL 1123 crosslinking agents. CYMEL 1125 must be added directly to the undiluted electrocoating vehicle and never to the diluted bath. In general about 100% of the CYMEL 1125 resin present in the bath deposits at the electrode. This effect has been observed with maleinized oil, acrylic, polyester and epoxy ester vehicles. CYMEL 1125 crosslinking agent can be used in the preparation of a wide range of general purpose industrial finishes. However, because CYMEL 1125 crosslinking agent contains chelating groups which can form colored compounds with heavy metal ions such as iron or zinc, it is recommended that CYMEL 1125 resin be used only in dark single coat applications or in primers and not light or pastel colors. CYMEL 1125 resin is a very efficient crosslinking agent for polymers containing carboxyl, hydroxyl or amide groups, such as epoxy, alkyd and acrylic resins. Crosslinking agent. Used for electrocoating primers. Offers high corrosion and detergent resistance, improved salt-spray resistance and adhesion. Provides high deposition rates, high throwing power. Recommended for dark single coat applications or primers and not for light or pastel colors.
