Apart from good pigment wetting properties, this resin also exhibits good compatibility with acrylic and acrylic-styrene copolymer dispersions and solubility in lower alcohols, esters and ketones. It is used in general purpose pigment preparations, modifying resin for acrylic and acrylic-styrene copolymer dispersions for inks and overprint varnishes, primers for vacuum metalising onto paper, primers and topcoats on aluminium foil.
