Dynasylan 1124 Bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)amine Degussa-Silanes Adhesion promoter / Bonding agent >> Organofunctional silane Epoxy Resins Phenolic Resins Silicone Polyurethane Coatings Metal >> Primer Soluble in alcohols Soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons Soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons Dynasylan® 1124 is a secondary aminofunctional silane posessing two symmetric silicon atoms. Dynasylan® 1124 acts as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (for example glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosets, thermoplastics and elastomers) or as a surface modifier. Dynasylan® 1124 is a slightly yellowish liquid with an amine-like odor. It is soluble in alcohols, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons. Dynasylan® 1124 is an important additive in many applications. Examples are metal primers, mineral fiber insulating materials, abrasives: as additive to phenolic resin binders, foundry resins: as additive to phenolic, furane and melamine resins, sealants and adhesives: as primer or additive, mineral-filled polymers (composites) or HFFR cables: for pretreatment of fillers and pigments, paints and coatings: as additive and primer for improving adhesion to the substrate. The most important effects which can be achieved using Dynasylan® 1124 are improvement in product properties, such as flexural strength, tensile strength, impact strength and modulus of elasticity, moisture and corrosion resistance, durability at high temperature and humidity. It possesses improvement in processing properties such as wet-out, homogenous distribution of inorganic fillers in polymer matrices, higher filler loading, excellent primerless adhesion, rheological behaviour reduction in viscosity, Newtonian behaviour. Bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)amine. Used in metal primers and as additive and primer in paints and coatings for improving adhesion to the substrate. Offers improved flexural strength and tensile strength. Provides impact strength and modulus of elasticity. Exhibits moisture and corrosion resistance.
