D.E.H 81 Phenolic Dow Chemical Crosslinking / Coupling / Curing Agents Epoxy Resins Coatings >> Powder Coatings Powder coating >> Architectural / Decorative Powder coating >> General industrial D.E.H.* 81 epoxy curing agent is a phenolic hardner and a reaction product of liquid epoxy resin and bisphenol- A containing a curing accelerator and a polyacrylate flow modifier. D.E.H. 81 epoxy curing agent is a phenolic hardener designed for powder coating applications. It is fully compatible with epoxy resins and it can be formulated into decorative or protective powder coatings. When formulated into white or pastel shades, formulations based on D.E.H. 81 curing agent may exhibit a tendency toward yellowing when subjected to high baking temperatures or to overbake. The medium reactivity of D.E.H. 81 curing agent can be increased or reduced by substituting part of the hardener with D.E.H. 82 or D.E.H. 80 curing agents respectively. The accelerator present in D.E.H. 81 curing agent tends to promote a catalytic crosslinking of the epoxy resin during baking and for this reason it is suggested that a 5 to 10% molar excess of epoxy over the hardener be used when formulating with D.E.H. 81 curing agent to produce cured coatings with optimum properties. This product is suitable for use in powder coating applications. Phenolic hardner and a reaction product of liquid epoxy resin and bisphenol- A containing a curing accelerator and a polyacrylate flow modifier. Used for powder coating applications. Offers compatibility with epoxy resins. Suits for decorative and protective powder coatings.
