D.E.H 90 Phenolic Dow Chemical Crosslinking / Coupling / Curing Agents Epoxy Resins Coatings >> Powder Coatings Powder coating >> Architectural / Decorative Powder coating >> General industrial D.E.H.* 90 epoxy curing agent is a solid reaction product of liquid epoxy resin and polyphenols, containing a curing accelerator and 2 wt.% of a polyacrylate flow modifier. D.E.H. 90 phenolic hardener has been designed for powder coating applications which require the fast cure capabilities of phenolic hardeners combined with superior adhesion properties to metal substrates. It can be formulated into both decorative powder coatings or protective coatings. D.E.H. 90 epoxy phenolic hardener can be used alone or in combination with other D.E.H. 80 series phenolic hardeners, with which it is fully compatible, to enhance the adhesion properties to metal substrates. The accelerator present in D.E.H. 90 phenolic hardener tends to have a catalytic effect on the crosslinking of epoxy resins. For this reason, a 10 to 20 % molar excess of epoxy over the hardener is recommended when formulating with D.E.H. 90 phenolic hardener to produce cured coatings with excellent mechanical properties. When formulated into white or pastel shades, D.E.H. 90 phenolic hardener may exhibit a tendency towards yellowing when subjected to high temperatures or to over-bake. Solid reaction product of liquid epoxy resin and polyphenols, containing a curing accelerator and a polyacrylate flow modifier. Used for powder coating applications. Provides fast cure capabilities and superior adhesion properties to metal substrates. Suits for decorative and protective powder coatings. Can be used alone or in combination with other phenolic hardeners to enhance the adhesion properties to metal substrates.
