D.E.R 325 Epoxy resin Dow Chemical Epoxy Resins >> Bisphenol A based Marine /Anti-Corrosive / Protective >> Marine Marine /Anti-Corrosive / Protective >> Heavy duty (anti-corrosive) D.E.R.* 325 liquid epoxy resin is a reactive diluent modified product of epichlorohydrin with bisphenol-A. D.E.R. 325 liquid epoxy resin is a low viscosity, C12 -C14 aliphatic glycidyl ether diluted standard bisphenol-A based liquid epoxy resin. Its surface tension (±15%) is lower than other reactive diluent diluted epoxy resins. The lower surface tension of this resin offers better surface wetting, better adhesion and will have slightly lower viscosity at any given filler loading. The reactive diluent increases pot life as well as flexibility (impact resistance). The reactive diluent also limits the solvent resistance somewhat. An improved acid resistance can also be achieved versus resins such as D.E.R. 331 liquid epoxy resin. Advantages over conventionally diluted epoxy resins are: better filler acceptance, reduced odor, lower vapor pressure and less potential for handling hazards. Note: D.E.R. 325 liquid epoxy resin might crystallize. This reversible physical phenomena can be greatly avoided by storage at temperatures not below 25 °C. marine and protective coatings Reactive diluent modified product of epichlorohydrin with bisphenol-A. Used in marine and protective coatings. Possesses low surface tension. Offers good surface wetting and adhesion. Provides increased acid resistance, pot-life and flexibility, limited solvent resistance. Gives good filler acceptance and reduced odor.
