D.E.R 337 Epoxy Dow Chemical Epoxy Resins >> Bisphenol A based Coatings >> Solvent-Free/ High-Solids Marine /Anti-Corrosive / Protective >> Marine Marine /Anti-Corrosive / Protective >> Heavy duty (anti-corrosive) D.E.R.* 337 epoxy resin is a liquid to semi-solid reaction product of epichlorohydrin and bisphenol-A. D.E.R. 337 epoxy resin is an intermediate epoxy equivalent weight epoxy resin, mainly used in adhesives and protective coatings, or as a modifier for other epoxy resins to improve impact strength, extensibility and adhesion. The excellent resistance and physical properties have established D.E.R. 337 epoxy resin as a major raw material for epoxy coal tar combinations and higher solids content marine coatings. D.E.R. 337 can be used to modify performance as well as handling properties of liquid epoxy resin, such as D.E.R. 331, and epoxy novolac type of resins, such as D.E.N.* 431 and D.E.N. 438 epoxy novolac resins. A wide variety of curing agents is available to cure this resin at ambient conditions. Most frequently used are aliphatic polyamines, polyamides and modified versions of these. Elevated temperature cure is necessary and post-cure required to develop full end properties if anhydride or catalytic curing agents are employed. Marine & Protective Coatings Liquid to semi-solid, intermediate epoxy equivalent weight, reaction product of epichlorohydrin and bisphenol-A. Used in protective coatings, higher solids content marine coatings or as a modifier for other epoxy resins to improve impact strength, extensibility and adhesion. Provides very good resistance and physical properties. Can be used to modify performance and handling properties of liquid epoxy resin. Can be cured by aliphatic polyamines, polyamides and modified versions of these.
