FEATURES Active at low addition levels Can correct cissing, pinholing and fish eyes Longlasting foam control Waterbased paint and ink formulations Does not impair flowout, levelling, gloss DESCRIPTION Defoaming tests on acrylic coating emulsions (utilising the shaker method) have shown that Dow Corning 6 Additive provides quick and sustained defoaming action. In high shear situations Dow Corning 6 Additive shows better foam supression than currently used organic defoamers. When used in water based flexographic inks, Dow Corning 6 Additive provides good foam control during ink manufacture and application. HOW TO USE While dependant upon coating system and application conditions, the recommended addition level is 0.25% to 0.75% Dow Corning 6 Additive as received to total coating formulation.
