Dilexo AS 516 Styrene/acrylic copolymer Dynea Acrylic Resins >> Styrene/ acrylic copolymer >> Emulsions/ Dispersion Coatings Architectural / Decorative >> Interior Architectural / Decorative >> Emulsion paints / Plaster Styrene-acrylic dispersions are classified as thermoplastic binders for paints and plasters. They are produced by emulsion polymerization of styrene together with acrylic monomers, which may or may not contain reactive groups. The resulting styrene-acrylic dispersions are used in the formulation of architectural finishes and plasters. Dynea offers a wide range of dispersions fulfilling the requirements for a variety of different applications. The type of binder to use must take into account the scope of application and climatic conditions under which the coating must perform. Their high pigment-binding capacity allows the use of styrene-acrylics in high pigment formulations providing excellent hiding power. Due to the chemical inertness and hydrophobic character of the styrene comonomer, styrene-acrylic dispersions show an outstanding resistance to water uptake and alkaline hydrolysis. Dynea’s styrene acrylic dispersions are produced in Europe. All products are water-based and most of them are reduced in residual monomers in order to obtain low-odor products. Used as a binder in flat and glossy interior paints and interior plasters. APEO-free APEO-free water-based styrene-acrylic dispersion. Used as a binder in flat and glossy interior paints and interior plasters. Offers high pigment-binding capacity, reduced residual monomers and low odor. Provides very good hiding power. Shows chemical inertness, hydrophobic character and outstanding resistance to water uptake and alkaline hydrolysis.
