It is also used in printing inks when very slow drying is desired. In textile dyeing formulations, it promotes rapid, uniform penetration of dyes. This solvent is used as a coalescing aid for both architectural and industrial latex paints, as an organosol dispersant, and as a solvent in cosmetics formulations, especially hair colors. The INCI (cosmetic ingredient) name for EASTMAN DB Solvent is Butoxydiglycol. Eastman DB Solvent, Stabilized contains 80-120 ppm BHT (butylated hydroxy toluene) antioxidant. It is used in additive for automotive paints, coatings for plastic, hair care, latex paints, solvents, textiles, coalescing aid, coatings for automotive, detergents, hydraulic brakes, printing inks, solvents for cosmetics and personal care, waterborne coatings.
